Welcome to the Let's do Lunch Northern Colorado blog. Here you will find reviews of Northern Colorado restaurants, including restaurants in Ft. Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor and the surrounding areas.
I met a friend here for lunch after we went in the door were
seated immediately and our drink orders were taken right away. Quickly after we
took a look at our menu, I kind of already what I was going to get, our orders
were taken my friend had the sesame chicken and I had the Kung pao chicken and
we both picked egg drop soup.
The soup came very quickly, I liked the soup, it
tasted pretty good except for all the crispy noodles that were served on top
and there were a lot of them, so I just ate around them. Right after we were
done with our soup. Our entrées on trays arrived. Along with my Kung pao chicken on the tray was
fried rice, a cheese wonton and an egg roll along with sweet-and-sour sauce
both the wonton and egg roll were good and I’m glad they had both because you
usually just get an egg roll. The egg roll I thought was very good and had
little pieces of pork inside and the vegetables were all good and the outside
was nice and crispy.
The Kung pao
chicken might not have been the best quality chicken, but it was okay. The sauce had a good flavor to it and it was
a no-nonsense Kung pao chicken with no extra veggies just chicken, peanuts and
green onions and it wasn’t too hot, maybe if I ate one of the peppers but since
I avoided them it wasn’t too hot. Wonderful Inn is a good place for a decent Chinese lunch, my rating should probably be closer to 3.5 stars.
