Stuft - Windsor Colorado

January 10, 2018

For this year's birthday lunch with the Godfather I chose stuft because a burger and a milkshake sounded perfect. We were seated quickly and we looked at the menu for a bit and then had our drink orders taken. The Godfather told our waitress it was my birthday and asked if they did anything special. She wasn't sure and went and asked and came back and said you get $6 off a shake, so a free regular shake or a $6 off a more expensive one. So I decided I would get a chocolate shake, but wanted to wait until after I ate my burger. I also decided to build my own burger I picked a 1/3 pound burger with smoked cheddar, caramelized onions, tomato, pickle, red onion and Sweet & Spicy Bacon. Along with fries and ranch and chipotle ketchup on the side. The Godfather ordered one of their specialty burgers and we both ordered them medium well. Prior to this lunch I read an article in the paper about a waiter named Howard and how good he was with people and how good of a waiter he was.  He wasn't our waiter but he still helped us out a couple times and said hello. Our burgers came soon enough, but were a bit undercooked but it was okay with me.

I really enjoyed my burger and especially the sweet and spicy bacon.  I also really liked the caramelized onions and the smoked cheddar cheese and I thought went perfect together.  The godfather I think enjoyed his too.  After we finished eating, our waitress brought out a chocolate shake and Howard and the rest of the crew came out and sing happy birthday and I blew out the candle on top or so I thought I did, but it wouldn't go out.  Howard was at the next table and he grabbed it and left and came back with it removed and Howard saved the day.

Part of the chocolate shake was in a glass jar and topped with a ton of whipped cream and a cherry on top.  The rest of the milkshake was still in the mixing cup. This milkshake was my first one in a long time and I enjoyed it quite a bit. This lunch trip I had so much food.  I took half my burger and at least half the milkshake home for later. I had a very enjoyable birthday lunch with the Godfather and I look forward to returning to Stuft for another very good burger.
