Oregano's Pizza Bistro - Fort Collins Colorado

June 4, 2019

I read about Oregano's in Arizona but never made it to one of them while visiting but they opened one in Fort Collins. I wanted to try it out so I finally made it. I met a friend for lunch we arrived right about noon and there were a handful of people there. We had to wait momentarily before we were seated. Once we were seated our waitress was nice and made sure we got everything we needed. We ordered an 18 inch build your own pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives for $25.06.

This pizza was cut in squares and it was slightly burnt on the outside edges. It was also really really thin and I think the toppings were thicker than the crust.  The toppings seemed like good quality toppings and the whole pizza tasted pretty good. The price was maybe a little high for pizza but it was a rather big pizza despite it being so thin and drinks were a little high at $2.49 but I suppose that’s not too bad these days.

Food Truck Friday You need pie food truck

June 20, 2019

The You need pie food truck from Estes Park was at the Centerra food truck Roundup. I had the cherry peach pie and dad had just the peach pie the top was not a typical pie crust but more like a cobbler type thing and underneath had a more typical piecrust.

I thought my cherry peach pie was excellent and thought the peach and cherry went together well. Dad liked his peach pie quite a bit as well. Each piece of pie was four dollars so maybe a little bit high but not terrible. They were very friendly and fast at getting us our pie. The slices were already cut in slices and were in clear plastic pie shaped boxes.
