I have never had Peruvian food but a friend told me about this
place so my parents and I decided to try it out.
I didn’t really know what to get but luckily for me they
have different Peruvian tour plates with two or three different items on them.
I ordered tour plate number six which included a Papa Rellena, Aji de Gallina
and Tallarin Saltado. Mom and Dad both got tour plate number five which
included Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Saltado
Papa Rellena was really good. It was basically a really good
baked potato stuffed with a meat mixture that included a few peas, carrots and
hardboiled egg pieces. Then was battered and fried making it a little crispy
around the outside. Aji de Gallina was a chicken dish with a
creamy Aji yellow pepper sauce and topped with a hardboiled egg slice and an
olive. I thought this was excellent and Tallarin Saltado a beef noodle dish
which tasted kind of like lo mein.
Tour plate number five had Lomo Saltado which was stir-fried
beef with onions and french fries and it also had the same Tallarin Saltado I
had.
Each plate was 16.99, so a little pricey but where else can
you get Peruvian food around here.
The food at Rosario‘s was great! I couldn’t tell if the Aji
de Gallina or Papa Rellena was the best but my whole meal was excellent. I can’t
wait to return to my new favorite restaurant in Northern Colorado.
