My mom and I were headed to the Rockies dugout store in
Greeley and we stopped here for lunch first, which is a couple doors down from
the dugout store. It was close to 1 PM when we arrived and it was mostly empty,
but there were a few tables taken. We were seated quickly and saw the menu
special board upfront which was a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and fried
($8.99). We were brought chips and salsa and we had time to look over the
regular menu. After a while we both
thought the special sounded good so that's what we both decided to get. Also we
did have a coupon but the waiter said it didn't work on the specials.
The salsa
was very good and was a bit hot, but also was a bit runny and the chips to go
along with us were pretty good as well. After we waited and enjoyed the chips
and salsa our food arrived.
This was
basically a soft Chile relleno with a poblano chili instead of an Anaheim type
chili. I don't usually prefer soft Chile rellenos, but it was still pretty good.
I think I would have preferred a
different entrée though. I thought the rice and beans were pretty good and
better than most places. With what I had on this trip I would give Cazadores a
four star rating, but may possibly upgrade it to a five if I had something
else.
