MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company - Fort Collins Colorado

May 31, 2018

I’ve been looking for a new favorite pizza place in Fort Collins since Grimaldi's closed and I may have found it. I went here for lunch with a friend.  Inside is a seat yourself type place and then order at the counter. I ordered a Double Pepperoni which had pepperoni and calabrese for 10.95 and my friend got the Margherta and Prosciutto pizza for 12.95. These were both 12 inch pizzas and cut into six slices.

I thought this was a great Neapolitan pizza. I really liked just about everything about it. The crust, the sauce the cheese and the meat. The pepperoni and calabrese were large slices but I think I kind of would’ve preferred just one of the meats because it was almost too much with both.

Then my friend and I made a pizza trade; a slice for a slice. So I could try Margherta and Prosciutto out. I probably wouldn’t have ordered this myself, but I figured I’d give it a try and I thought it was quite good as well. These were two excellent pizzas and I’ll definitely be back for more.

Food Truck Friday:The Slawpy Barn

June 21, 2018

My dad and I celebrated the first day of summer at the Centerra food truck Roundup in Loveland. This was a really nice set up with around eight food trucks lined up with tables and chairs under a tent. Basically like a food court with food trucks.

Dad and I decided to try out the Slawpy Barn which had a nice looking truck and a good sized menu. We both ordered a cheeseburger with curly fries for $9.00 and a soda for $3.00. The drinks were in an ice chest in front and there was a good variety of choices. Dad got a Coke and I got an orange crush. When we ordered they asked if we wanted tomatoes and onions which we both did and I added pickles from the condiment table also in front of the truck

The burger was okay but nothing really too exciting and very average. The fries I thought were pretty good but a lot of them are small pieces and some larger clumps. I don’t know if I’ll be back to the Slawpy Barn anytime soon but if I do return I’ll try something else. We will for sure be back to the Centerra food truck Roundup though. These take place the third Thursday of every month and I can’t wait for July’s event!
