My dad and I celebrated the first day of summer at the Centerra
food truck Roundup in Loveland. This was a really nice set up with around eight
food trucks lined up with tables and chairs under a tent. Basically like a food
court with food trucks.
Dad and I decided to try out the Slawpy Barn which had
a nice looking truck and a good sized menu. We both ordered a cheeseburger with
curly fries for $9.00 and a soda for $3.00. The drinks were in an ice chest in
front and there was a good variety of choices. Dad got a Coke and I got an
orange crush. When we ordered they asked if we wanted tomatoes and onions which
we both did and I added pickles from the condiment table also in front of the
truck
The burger was okay but nothing really too exciting and very average. The
fries I thought were pretty good but a lot of them are small pieces and some
larger clumps. I don’t know if I’ll be back to the Slawpy Barn anytime soon but
if I do return I’ll try something else. We will for sure be back to the Centerra
food truck Roundup though. These take place the third Thursday of every month and
I can’t wait for July’s event!
